NBS news anchor Samson Kasumba has been arrested.
According to reports, Kasumba was arrested by police last evening and taken to Kira Road Police Station.
The reason for Kasumba’s arrest is yet to be known. NBS reported that police is yet to disclose anything about the case for which he has been arrested, but admitted he is in their custody.
“Samson Kasumba was arrested on his way home shortly after the NBS LIVE at 9 bulletin. We are doing our best to engage all relevant stakeholders as the cause of his arrest is unknown” NBS posted on social media.
Efforts to get a comment from police also did not yield results after the KMP Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire said he cannot comment over the matter and referred us to CP Fred Enanga.
Calls by this website to Fred Enanga’s known phones also remain unanswered.
