What started as a mere competition could be turning into feud between NBS and NTV.
The NTV “Mwasuze Mutya” show host Faridah Nakazibwe picked on “NBS UNCUT” show host Zahara Totto saying she puts on second-hand clothes unlike NTV’s Lynda Ddane who wears first-hand clothes imported all the way from Italy.
Ever since NBS TV re-branded, competition between two media broadcasting giants hit roof-top as the Kamwokya-based NBS TV raided NTV snatching over ten employees.
The latent battle however could be coming to the fore.
The nationwide covid lockdown has fueled the fued between these two stations; Saturday live-shows in particular as fans judge which station has the best entertainment show.
NBS has Saturday Night Live, while NTV has Dance Party and both stations have tried to impress for the past two weeks with the battle being most visible on twitter.
Nakazibwe’s original post didn’t have pictures but the fans duplicated her tweet and added a photo of Zahara Totto and Lynda Ddane something that didn’t go down well with Zahara as she hit back at Nakazibwe in a retweet captioned “Is this all you could do? Could you even afford a single attire I wore for your presenters with the 50k you pay them?”
This cuts into another Pandora box opened by Former NTV presenter Sheila Gashumba who accused her former employers of paying presenters peanuts. Another former NTV Robin Kisti shot back at Sheila saying she was adding no value to the station.
This battle has and is still raising much engagement from fans of both these individuals as well the Television stations. Lets wait to see what Faridah will throw in response.
