After several weeks of praising and pampering the ruling National Resistance Movement ( NRM ) political party, City Socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black has officially returned to the People Power Movement.
Through her social media pages, Bad Black today denounced the NRM and her reason is simple; ‘She is free to support who she wants.’
“I normally don’t explain myself it’s my life and freedom to support what I want” Bad Black posted on her social media pages alongside pictures of herself donning red from hair to toe.
Once a renown NRM supporter who openly campaigned for President Museveni in the 2016 presidential campaigns, the main reason for Bad Black’s sudden change of heart remains unclear.
However, when musician cum politician and Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobiwine showed interest for the top office in the land in 2019, Bad Black’s loyalty somehow shifted.
She started posing as a people power supporter and always expressed her support to Bobi on her social media.
In February this year, Black turned against Bobiwine and People Power claiming that his team was misleading the youth into protests.
Then, in April, Bad Black threatened to quit NRM If they don’t pay her millions of money for a recorded advert advocating for prevention from Covid 19.
Monday, 22nd June, this website published a story confirming how Bad Black was “settled” through Events Promoter, Balam Barugahara, but not given the UGX.500M she had initially demanded.
At this point however, everyone thought that Bad Black had settled and ready to offer support to NRM. She even switched her attire to yellow; the official NRM party colors.
However, earlier on today, (Monday morning) the controversial socialite threw in the towel at the Yellow Party and claimed she belongs to the Red Movement.
