The Acting Director Defense Public Information Col Chris Magezi said the UPDF counter-terrorism unit on an intelligence-led operation today morning intercepted armed terrorists in upscale Munyonyo, leading up to the killings.
The details about the operation remains unclear but reports of a bomb blast are still circulating on media.
Photos from the scene show at lear one dead body and a wrecked motorcycle seemingly from a huge explosion. The incident happened near a Catholic Basilica in Munyonyo.
Earlier reports on socials were rather alarming – but details about this story will be published as soon as they come in.
